Odyssey in Ten Years

The Odyssey is an epic poem about a decade-long journey. In thinking about it, I have always had trouble conceptualizing the amount of time spent totally lost in such a small place. This page has in its html the entire text of an 18th century translation of the poem, as provided by Project Gutenberg. Approximately every seven hours for the next ten years, the page will advance through the poem, line by line. It is currently on line 1 of 13,500.
